What is an Electricity Sub-Meter?
A sub-meter is an individual apartment meter connected to a shared main electricity meter. The utility company bills the main subscriber (usually the building manager). Each unit's payment is proportionally determined by their own sub-meter consumption.
How to Calculate Sub-Meter Share?
- Step 1 — Find Your Usage: Subtract last month's index from this month's index. Example: 169 − 155 = 14 kWh
- Step 2 — Unit Price: Divide total bill by total consumption. Example: 256.50 TL ÷ 40 kWh = 6.4125 TL/kWh
- Step 3 — Your Payment: Multiply your consumption by unit price. Example: 14 × 6.4125 = 89.78 TL
